this is powerful. speaks to the heart of our delusions. the method of superiority, of war. thanks for doing the difficult work of opening and reshaping your beliefs. that is the hardest and bravest work any man can do.
Truth is what we are and when we speak of it from our own experience of suffering, truth is given its proper space in the heart. In other words, truth expels the hatred, the sorrow, the shame and the grief. The more we share our suffering from the collective understanding that we all suffer as humans, the quicker the collective healing can arise and take shape in our hearts. For the collective heart is nothing else but the love we are, the being we share.
So awfully sad! Truly, the depth of contempt and rage towards their own, and the passion towards eradicating anything that isn't their own, is extremely disturbing.
For me, it was the dehumanisation of the medical field. Horrific. It eradicated every will, every value, every insight, every discernment, every bit of humanity, every form of knowledge, humiliation and despair reigned in the fight to remain alive, only to be left to death.
Evil sadistic megalomaniacal people will find any reason to practice their "hobby". They work intra group, inter group etc. See my remark on Hamas with Palestinian kids for context. It's on one of your other posts.
It happens in lots of societies, and until humanity in all societies addresses that as the problem to be tackled, those same people will continue to wield too much power.
It's frustrating to see well meaning people refuse to differentiate "the wood from the trees" as the saying goes, but as Zimbardo warns, to try to fix it single handedly or as too small a group is self destructive too, and just does the job for them without them having to do it themselves.

Thank you for your recognition and for your work.
Thank you for recognizing it, your courage is part of the work too.
This has rocked me to the core. Those comments, seriously? These people are so dead inside. God help them.
It’s not a simple situation we find ourselves in. The programming runs deep, yet there is always hope to recover with courage.

Once it takes hold it will consume the host
Consume the host?
The dehumanization disease - once the othering begins, it may start with the "other" tribe, but eventually will turn towards everyone and everything.

Long story.
It sounds really painful. Looking forward to hearing more about your journey.
Israeli society, culture and State are sick, depraved, psychopathic and they always have been. That is the problem.
Disease can be cured with the courage to admit the illness. One person at a time.
True, but so much harder to do in a Cult where intelligence and the capacity for rational thought are severely compromised.
